What is Equilibrium
A rigid body is supposed to be in equilibrium if there is no change in translational motion and no change in rotational motion
The general conditions for equilibrium are as follows
(i) The total force must be zero
(ii) The total torque about any axis must be zero.
In many cases it is convenient to consider torques about axes through the centre of gravity.
Types of equilibrium
We can divide the equilibrium into two categories With respect to the state of a body
1. Static equilibrium.
2. Dynamic equilibrium.
What is Periodic Motion : In Physics, a motion that is regular and repeating is called Periodic Motion. The time to complete one full motion is called the Time period of the Periodic Motion
What is SHM: A Simple Harmonic Motion is a special case of Periodic motion where a physical quatity varies sinusoidally.In this Periodic motion the restoring force is directly proportional to the displacement. The object oscillates between two position and Motion is sinusoidally in nature.

You will find great deal of their usage while studying mechanics and tou can hey have equal inportance when it comes to other branches of physics. However i will discuss their usage and construction in context to mechanics.
A non inertial Frame of Refrence is the frame of refrence which is having acceleration a. Example Free Falling elevator
Newtons law are valid in inertial frame of refrence only. We cannot apply them as it is in non inertial frame of refrence as it left out the acceleration of the object because of the frame of refrence.
Let me provide simple example to illustrate this.
A) Normal Force: When we put a book on a table ,the molecules of the book exert downward forces on the molecules of the table.The molecules composing the upper layer of the tabletop move downward until the repulsion of the molecules below balances the forces applied by the book.
