However, there will be a common question paper for all participants. Bright students from class VIII may also appear.<br \/>\nb) A school can sponsor maximum five students for the competition.<br \/>\nc) The five students should be selected strictly on the basis of a screening test conducted by the school itself.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>DATE OF EXAMINATION<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nCBSE Group Mathematical Olympiad 2013 will be held on Sunday, 1st December, 2013<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>VENUE FOR THE EXAMINATION<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\na) The Group Mathematical Olympiad will be held at one or two venues in each state as listed in the folder.<br \/>\nb) Every candidate is required to appear at the venue in his\/her state only. No change of venue for the examination will be admissible.<br \/>\ne) The state coordinator will inform all the participating schools about the roll nos. of the candidates, exact venue, date of examination, time of examination and the other details<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nEnglish<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>SYLLABUS AND PATTERN OF EXAMINATION<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAreas of school mathematics such as algebra, geometry, number theory, combinatorics etc.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Merit List<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nCBSE will select a maximum of 30 candidates strictly in order of merit.
