For a high school course to have the AP designation, the course must be audited by the College Board to ascertain that it satisfies the AP curriculum<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AP courses for Physics <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four courses in Physics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 1) <strong>AP physics 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a year-long AP course designed by the College Board to replace AP Physics B in the 2014 &#8211; 2015 school year. AP Physics 1  will first semester university undergraduate physics course offered at a typical American university.. This is a algebra based curriculum course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kinematics (Unit 1)<br>Dynamics (Unit 2)<br>Circular Motion and Gravitation (Unit 3)<br>Energy (Unit 4)<br>Momentum (Unit 5)<br>Simple Harmonic Motion (Unit 6)<br>Torque and Rotational Motion (Unit 7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) <strong>AP Physics 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is an algebra-based, introductory college-level physics course that explores topics such as fluid statics and dynamics; thermodynamics with kinetic theory; PV diagrams and probability; electrostatics; electrical circuits with capacitors; magnetic fields; electromagnetism; physical and geometric optics; and quantum, atomic, and nuclear physics. Through inquiry-based learning, students will develop scientific critical thinking and reasoning skills. This is is equivalent to a second-semester college course in algebra-based physics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fluids: Pressure and Forces (Unit 1)<br>Thermodynamics (Unit 2)<br>Electrical Force, Field, and Potential (Unit 3)<br>Electrical Circuits (Unit 4)<br>Magnetism and Electromagnetic Induction (Unit 5)<br>Geometric and Physical Optics (Unit 6)<br>Quantum, Atomic, Nuclear Physics (Unit 7)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> 3) <strong>AP Physics C: Mechanics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>it is a one-semester, calculus-based, college-level physics course, especially appropriate for students planning to specialize or major in physical science or engineering. The course explores topics such as electrostatics; conductors, capacitors, and dielectrics; electric circuits; magnetic fields; and electromagnetism.
