However, both of them are different, and in fact, they have many differences. So, this article is about explaining how training is different from teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#e8f2f3\" class=\"has-background\">I have written a separate article on the <a href=\"https:\/\/physicscatalyst.com\/graduation\/teaching-definition\/\"><strong>concept of teaching<\/strong><\/a>, its definition, characteristics, and nature. Focusing more on training would result in<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>confident and competent students<\/li><li>increased employability<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence, right blend of teaching and training is what we should try to incorporate in our education system for bright future of our learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching vs. Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>S.No.<\/th><th>Teaching<\/th><th>Training<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1<\/td><td>theoretically oriented<\/td><td>practical orient<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>provides new knowledge and wisdom<\/td><td>helps already knowledgeable people to learn tools,<br>techniques and their applications<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td>continues for long period of time<\/td><td>takes place for a few days or months<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td>for broad areas<\/td><td>for specific areas<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5<\/td><td>not rigid <\/td><td>rigid and systematic<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>6<\/td><td>usually refers to classroom learning<\/td><td>refers to workshops, seminars, role-plays, simulations, etc.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>7<\/td><td>not a time bound process<\/td><td>time-bound process<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption>Table showing Difference Between Teaching and Training<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Points of difference between teaching and training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Teaching is mostly theoretically oriented<\/li><li>Teaching fills the mind.<\/li><li>Teaching provides new knowledge to the people<\/li><li>Teaching continues for a long time.<\/li><li>Teaching is a broader area.<\/li><li>Teaching does not follow a very rigid approach<\/li><li>Teaching usually refers to classroom learning<\/li><li>The teacher provides information, knowledge, and experiences during the teaching and learning process.<\/li><li>Teaching gives limited knowledge covering extensive domains or areas of knowledge.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Training is practical orient<\/li><li>training shapes habits.<\/li><li>Training helps already knowledgeable people to learn tools and techniques to apply them.<\/li><li>Training is for a few days or a few months.<\/li><li>Training is for specific areas.<\/li><li>The training follows a rigid and systematic approach<\/li><li>Training refers to workshops, seminars, role-plays, simulations, etc.<\/li><li>Trainer facilitates learning during the training process.<\/li><li>Training gives intensive information about a given domain.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From the above-mentioned points, we can clearly see that both teaching and training are different from each other. <br><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training is a specific program of skill development. It is a planned and systematic sequence of instruction under a competent trainer. It is a time-bound process.<\/span> It equips the trainee with mindset and skill set. <br>Teaching, on the other hand, is not as specific as training.
