Q.8. f n(A) = 11 and n(B) =4, then which of the following is wrong

  • n(A U B) ≤ 15
  • None of these
  • n(A ∩ B) ≤ 4
  • n(A U B) ≥ 11

how here answer is ” none of these ” ?
isn’t ” n(A U B) ≥ 11 ” is answer ?

Since it says n(A U B) is greater than 11 but there is not limit how much greater, it can be greater than 15 or 16 and we know that it can’t be greater than 15 so it should have high limit. ISN’T ??

And now in this question :-

14. If X =  {8^n – 7n – 1 | n ∈ N}  and Y = {49n – 49 | n ∈ N}. Then

  • X = Y
  • X ⊂ Y
  • Y ⊂ X
  • X ∩ Y = φ

Answer is ” X = Y ” HOW ???
if put n = 3 here then X = 490 and Y = 98.

since 490 cannot / never belong to Y … how X = Y ????
