Solve following Problems

Question 8. Vijay brought 100 kg rice from whole sale market and made the packet of 2 kg from them. He sold 10 packet on the first. How many packet are left now

Answer

Number of packet made= $100 \div 2$
Number of packet remaining after 10 packet are sold = $100 \div 2 -10$
=50 -10 =40
So 40 packet are remaining after the sale


Question 9. solve these
(i) $15 + 10 \times 3$
(ii) $(3 \times 5) + (5 \times 2)$
(iii) $50 - 3 \times 11 + 5$

Answer

(i)$ 15 + 10 \times 3 = 15 + 30=45$
(ii) $ (3 \times 5) + (5 \times 2)= 15 + 10 =25$
(iii)$50 - 3 \times 11 + 5= 50 -33 + 5=22$


Question 10. Simplify these expressions
(i) $ (4 + 10 \div 2) \times 4$
(ii) $(6 \div 2) \times ( 12 \div 3)$

Answer

(i) $ (4 + 10 \div 2) x 4= (4 + 5) \times 4= 9 \times 4 =36$
(ii) $(6 \div 2) \times ( 12 \div 3)=(3) \times (4) = 3 \times 4 = 12$
